dance dance

(Photo from Style Defined NYC)

Graffiti covered walls, delicious dark corners, open bar, and a tattoo parlor? GunBar... you're a WanderLust favorite! Which is why we were so psyched when FashionIndie hosted their first dance  party at this urban chic dive in the meatpacking district.

Patrón tequila shots circulated the venue fast enough to get everyone on their feet and busting moves. Of course, DJ Chachi helped by spinning some killer tunes. To all our friends at FashionIndie we suggest this become a regular event :)

Stella & Jamie

Not much better than a crisp Fall day, the West Village, and a suite at the Gansevoort filled with clothes and bags!! These fabulous fringe handbags with their major metal screws would be the perfect addition to any closet... specifically ours :)

This is the first handbag collection for Stella & Jamie, so we're super stoked we got an up close and personal look at these well crafted, super stylish beauties!

I don't even think it's necessary to bring up our obsession with leather and sheer again, so you can just assume by the top Emily's wearing that the clothing collection was just as lustworthy as the bags!

Which bag is your favorite?

retro roof

The only way white could enter our wardrobe is through stripy Beetlejuice dresses, so thank you xPose PR for introducing us to Mike Vensel. Also, thank you for letting us frolic around on your beautiful LA rooftop... tough days work :) The cut out back on the long dress is perfect for some side-boob action, and you can never go wrong with an ultra mini... never.

Naked

We had an amazing time perusing Sotheby's plethora of nude art work, at the The New York Academy of Arts 20th Annual Take Home a Nude Benefit. It was the perfect opportunity to whip out one of Philomena Kwok's lustworthy hats, and our newly named Morticia dresses (considering everyone asked us if it was Halloween on our walk home.) I guess our fancy benefit attire, aka long black dresses, are a little bit too much for even some New Yorkers to handle.

We want to thank Company Agenda for having us! We love that when the word "nude" comes into play... we always get an invite :)

The Fray

Is this mic on? Apparently due to technical difficulties we were unable to "rock out," but The Fray killed it enough for the both of us :) ... and no, our microphone is NOT made of glitter. The boys gave a private concert at the Angel Orensanz Center, and then guests than made their way to the always chic W hotel for an awesome after party hosted by Starwood Preferred Guest.

We had so much fun sipping on cocktails, tasting delicious hors d'oeuvres, taking way too many pictures in front of the green screen, mixing and mingling with the band, and apparently on the taxi ride home (a few too many cocktails perhaps?)

Stuck in our head... and we're not unhappy about it.

SOTU

The other afternoon we popped by the SOTU showroom, and ours jaws dropped instantly. CEO, Ami Goodheart, is an incredibly talented costume designer and producer, and the photos speak for themselves. Known for her avant-garde vision, and over the top amazing pieces, Goodheart's impressive career has brought her exactly where she wants to be. We won't give it all away, because this won't be last raving you hear from us about SOTU!

Her designs can be spotted on stage at sold out concerts, gracing editorials in top magazines, and obviously dancing around at any event regarded as "The Party of the Year." If you happen to be in NYC on Sunday, October 23rd, swing by Pop Souk at the Hiro Ballroom from 12-6pm.

What's your favorite piece from the photos??  :)

Grease and Glamour

(Editorial photos taken by Jinna Yang for Grease and Glamour)

The incredible blog Grease and Glamour asked us to do an editorial and interview on how WanderLust began, and how our darker style defines us. We've always lusted their site, and were honored to be a part of it. Head on over to GG to read the full article, and browse the amazing archives of the talented, and beautiful blogger, Jinna.

evolve

(Bottom two photos by Amanda Hakan)

Last week we attended the launch party for Evolve Electric Motorcycles at the Milk Studios Penthouse. We're constantly sorting through a plethora of fashion event invites, but when we saw "motorcycles," it was an instant RSVP. Never having to buy gasoline again? Downloading your own sounds? Too many amazing features. Can someone please buy us that Tron bike? Holy shit. We absolutely will be test-driving these bad boys.

spike spine.

(Photo by Karen Ko of k2o)

It wouldn't be New York fashion week if we didn't spot, Fashion News Live's, Rocco Leo Gaglioti, about 3 million times :) He caught us as we were dashing through Lincoln Center decked in k2o by Karen Ko necklaces, and dinosaur/shoulder spike ensemble (which combines pretty much all of our favorite things.)

It was calm backstage at A Détacher as we perused the racks of pieces about to rule the runway, and stylists did finishing touches on lavender entwined hair turbans.

We even got a New York minute to catch a glimpse of the sun setting on another beautiful fashion week day!
